July 20-"The Ugly Goan," a group of young volunteers of a non-profit environmental conservation organisation in Goa is actively working on cleanliness of beaches.

* We conduct cleanliness drives and awareness programmes across the State to make Goa a cleaner and greener place.
* So far we have organised various beach-cleaning drives in Goa Velha, Caranzalem and Kharewaddo beaches in the last two months(related links added below).
* Our endeavour is to initiate public support and participation and especially to mobilise the youth.
* We believe that our initiatives would create awareness among the youth that would, in the future, establish a strong youth initiative to fight for the conservation of the environment, which is the immediate need of the day.
Our next drive is happening at Kharewaddo beach import town of Vasco-Mormugao. An area filled with garbage. An area that needs a new identity. We can make a difference only with your support.
We seek your help in taking the information about the drive to people across Goa. We hope you will be with us in creating a better, cleaner Goa.
Cleanup Drive on Sunday, 21st July , Kharewaddo Beach. @ 3pm onwards.
Meetup point – TilakMaidan Vasco at 3pm sharp
